An 1881 railroad town that served Tombstone's mills on the San Pedro River, fading out by the mid-1900s. It sits inside the BLM's San Pedro Riparian National Conservation Area with a parking lot right off AZ-82, a restored schoolhouse/visitor center, and a short trail past the adobe commercial building, post office, and cemetery. A managed, legal, family-easy site; summer heat and rattlesnakes are the only real cautions.
