The coquina ruins of Florida's largest sugar mill mark Bulowville, a 2,200-acre plantation burned by Seminoles in 1836 during the Second Seminole War and never rebuilt. The site is preserved as Bulow Plantation Ruins Historic State Park, with an interpretive center, trails, and a scenic drive under live oaks. Access is legal and easy; the only cautions are heat, insects, and staying off the fragile masonry.
